Registration for this program is closed
June 11-12, 2018
-Monday, 9:00am-4:00pm
-Tuesday, 9:00am-4:00pm
This program will use classroom discussions, hypotheticals, and group projects to demonstrate effective interactions between health care organizations and the state and federal administrative agencies that regulate them, such as state health and insurance departments and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Participants will examine the role of administrative agencies in the public health context and evaluate strategies for keeping up with the health care industry’s fast-changing regulatory landscape. Practical issues such as knowing when to reach out to a regulatory agency, identifying the right decision-makers within an agency, choosing the right methods of communication, and preparing a persuasive argument to advance an organization’s interests will also be addressed.
